Aussiedoodle
(Aussie-Poo) (Aussiepoo)

Australian Shepherd  / Poodle Hybrid

The Aussiedoodle is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Australian Shepherd and the Poodle. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

Recognized Names:
American Canine Hybrid Club = Aussie-Poo
American Canine Hybrid Club = Toy/Miniature Australian Shepherd / Poodle = Aussie-Poo (also known as Miniature Aussiedoodles).
Designer Dogs Kennel Club = Aussiedoodle

________________________________

"I am the owner of this mini-aussiedoodle boy who I named Split due to the split color down his face, which was very prominent at first. He is shown here as a puppy at 5 weeks old. His mother is a blue merle Australian Shepard and his father is a silver parti Miniature Poodle. He started out as a dark blue merle, but at 6 months was almost totally cream colored. Thus, in Aussiedoodles, the blue merle color may not remain true. He is a very athletic and friendly young dog and is very popular at the dog park, because he goes to anyone who calls his name. He is interested in the ball, but has not started fetching, but he can really jump to try to grab it! His doodle fur is really really soft and he is very sweet natured."
