Tough the Texas Blue Lacy at 2 years old.

"This is “Tuff”. He is a breed standard registered Blue Lacy with the Texas Blue Lacy Game Dog Association. His parents are already on your site shown “treeing a raccoon”. Tuff was a great dog! He was about 42 lbs. and stood roughly 24 inches tall. His temperament was excellent, very friendly and never once nipped or bit at anyone. He was extremely athletic, and exceptionally agile. He was constantly the fastest dog at the park. Although, he tended not to play in the pack but explore the park on his own. Not to say he was unsocial, he got along great with all dogs and would choose flight over fight. He knew he was quick and fast enough to get away from any aggressive dog. He was no doubt a natural herder, at two years old he saw his first real cow and it was as if a switch flipped in his brain. He immediately went to working like he had been doing it for twenty years it was extraordinary to watch. Tuff was also exceptionally bright, he was house trained in less than 1 week, and picked up and followed commands easily. He easily recognized words such as eat, park, Jeep, toy, ball, bed, no, sit, stay, lie down etc. Quite easy to train. If he had any drawback it was distraction (although I didn’t work with him on it much) he would listen to any command given unless distracted. He also did not like loud noises and was afraid of fireworks (typical)."
